Skiing in Copper Mountain

Here's our guide to Copper Mountain

Skiing and the Mountains

  • This really is a mountain for all abilities and the mountain is generally split into 3 area’s – beginner on the west, intermediate in the middle and advanced on the East – experts there’s a couple of bowls to. This is great especially great for novices, as they don’t get intimidated by the more advanced skiers.
  • In some resorts you pay for cat skiing – not in Copper it’s a free service. They take you to the high peak of Tucker Mountain and this gives you access to some amazing untracked powder and glade skiing. No hiking, no paying it doesn’t get much better.
  • Jump the lift queues! The Beeline Advantage is an exclusive lift ticket that allows you to skip the lift lines by accessing the lift through your own dedicated lane.  Additional perks are accessing the mountain 15 minutes early, as well as VIP lesson and rental lanes.  To get the Beeline Advantage, all you have to do is book your lift tickets with your lodging, prior to arrival
  • Free mountain tours, provided by ski ambassadors, it’s a unique way to discover Copper Mountain’s hidden secrets. Tours are available daily for intermediates and experts at the Information Station near Solitude Station at the top of the American Eagle lift.
  • On-Mountain Improvements Copper Mountain will be adding approximately 5 acres of new expert gladed tree skiing terrain located on the lower half of the Super Bee chair between Formidable, Rosi’s Run and Treble Cliff.  This new advance terrain will provide some great tree skiing through gullies and ridge tops

Resort and après ski

  • Free Baby-sitting in Copper! It is offered Wednesday-Saturday night throughout the season.  Drop your kids off at the Belly Button Bakery, and they are entertained with supervised games and activities, plus feed them a pizza dinner, while you’re out enjoying a romantic dinner, shopping or having a cocktail.  Bring back a receipt totalling $30.00 or more per child, and your baby-sitting for the evening is FREE.
  • Compared to a lot of the other Colorado resorts Copper is really close to Denver. At only an hour and a half away it’s either a short drive or a cheap transfer. Being so close to some of Colorado’s other resorts Copper is a great option as a duel centre ski holiday.
  • Frisco, Copper Mountain’s Town:  The quaint down town of Frisco is located just six miles from Copper Mountain via the Free Summit Stage or by car.  Frisco offers over 30 additional restaurants and 40 stores to for added dining and shopping opportunities.
  • For the shopaholics out there ‘Outlets at Silverthorne’ is a retail park close to Copper. They have shops from all the big names with huge savings – there is a free shuttle from resort as well.
