Here’s our guide to the Arlberg region
Skiing and the Mountains
- St Anton offers a huge vertical ski area from nearly 2700m down to 1300m – that’s the same as from the top of Courchevel 1850 to Le Praz!
- Some of the worlds best off piste skiing can be had in the Arlberg area. With one of the best snow records in the Alps, the powder can be mind blowing – ask us about guiding with ‘Piste to Powder’.
- On busy days ski Rendl, Stuben or the unknown local area of Sonnenkopf. These can be deserted even on peak weeks.
- The resort is continually updating its lift system to keep queues down. New for the 06/07 season is a brand new cable car from resort to Galzig.
-
Make the most of your ski pass and visit the exclusive resorts of Zurs and Lech. The route around them is called the ‘white circle’ and is listed in the top 5 ski days in the world.

Resort and après ski
- The après ski has to be experienced to be believed. We definitely recommend the Mooserwirt and the Krazy Kanguruh for those wanting to party. For a quieter drink try the Underground on the Piste where people swap their ski stories over live music and a Gluewien.
- There’s a great choice of reasonably priced mountain restaurants. Try the Tirolia Grostle in the famous Hospitz Alm in St Christoph, but only if you have a large appetite.
- Relax after your hard days skiing in the Wellbeing.com centre, which is an impressive leisure facility with indoor & outdoor pools, 4 different types of sauna, a gym and ice-skating.
- The Rodle Toboggan Run is a 4.3km track that winds its way through the Forest above St Anton. It’s floodlit and open 2 evenings a weeks, and you can even stop at a bar half way down for a drink.
- Despite the expansion of the resort it has retained much of its traditional charm and a large part of the resort remains pedestrianised.
