Golf holidays in Mauritius

Mauritius

Mauritius is our premier long haul golf destination: not bad for an island that only a few years ago boasted just two golf courses. And golf holidays in Mauritius are guaranteed to be breathtakingly scenic. The arrival of Le Touessrok golf club, the second course at Belle Mare, the Golf du Chateau at Bel Ombre and the new Ernie Els designed course at Anahita have boosted golf tourism markedly. What’s more, when you add elegant hotels, impeccable white sand beaches, crystal clear seas and more flights into the island, it’s difficult to think of a reason why you would look anywhere else for your long haul luxury golf holiday this year.

The golf course is located on Ile aux Cerfs, a 5-minute boat ride from the Le Touessrok hotel. When you arrive the first thing you see is the impressive clubhouse that looks out over the 18th green and extensive practice facilities. The Bernhard Langer course then winds through indigenous vegetation with rocky volcanic outcrops, natural water hazards and strategic bunkering testing your game. However it is the location that takes your breath away, with occasional glimpses of turquoise seas and sandy beaches culminating in the most amazing panoramic views of the area from the 11th green. The course can be tough, so make sure you take the caddy masters advice on which tees to play from.
