Le Meridien Penina Golf & Resort Hotel

Situated between Alvor & Lagos in the western Algarve but just a 50-minute drive from Faro airport, Le Meridien Penina is the oldest but possibly the most complete golf and holiday resort in the Algarve.

Le Meridien Penina boasts the largest outdoor pool in the Algarve and great sun terraces. There are two 9 hole golf courses as well as the championship course, jogging and cycling trail, 6 floodlit tennis courts, small gym, hairdresser, massage facilities, sauna and billiards room. During the summer months Penina has its own beach club with restaurant and courtesy shuttle bus from the hotel. A great hotel for children, Penina has a complimentary children’s club, The Penguin Village, which is open at Christmas and then from Easter to 31 Oct. They also offer FREE accommodation for children sharing a room with their parents, as well as great savings for children in their own rooms.

All rooms are furnished in a traditional Algarvan style with terracotta tiled floors & dark wood furnishings. They benefit from air-conditioning, satellite TV, safe, hairdryer, robe & slippers, minibar and most have balconies. We recommend upgrading to a pool view room as these are south facing with a guaranteed balcony and come with a great view over the championship course.

The resort boasts 4 restaurants including a poolside snack bar and the Sagres restaurant that offers breakfast and half board. We would recommend the Grill restaurant for fine a la carte dining, and Cottons bar and restaurant which is perfect for pre and post-golf drinks and food.
