Golf holidays in Turkey

Turkey

Turkey may not immediately strike most of us as a luxury golf destination, but jet out to the southern coastal area of Belek and you will be surprised. In the past three years, this popular area of Turkey has quickly established itself as one of the world’s premier golf destinations. With it’s pre-prepared infrastructure, a new sprinkling of excellent courses have popped up, with a choice of terrain including heathland, dunes, pine forests and groomed lawns. And now these wonderful championship and links courses can be reached more easily, with direct flights from the UK. For year-round sun, fantastic 5 star hotels, many with all-inclusive dining, spas featuring Turkish hammams, and miles of sandy coastline to enjoy, Turkey rivals any other European golf location.

This is our Colin's first Mediterranean design and has been done in association with European Golf Design. The course winds through pine trees and mature flora but is unique in the use of vast waste bunkers that characterises the course. The specification is very high and no expense has been spared with this project that also includes an academy 9-hole course. It now hosts one of the European Tour's final series events - The Turkish Airlines Open.
