Skiing in Europe

Canada and the USA

From the grandeur of Zermatt hotels overlooking the iconic Matterhorn to the chic boltholes of super-glamorous Courchevel 1850, we will help you find a European ski hotel which suits you. Hotels in St Anton generally have modern, comfortable interiors with traditional Austrian fronts, whereas Meribel offers cosier, chalet-style buildings from the centre of town to high up on the piste. From converted palaces to luxury lodge-style escapes, there are some amazing hotels in the Alps.

The facilities of a well-equipped hotel can be a

huge draw. Many mountain hotels offer fully equipped fitness centres and all-important saunas and spas with masseurs to soothe those aching muscles. Great food on vast menus and wine lists to wow: the great choice can mean you never need to step outside.

Room service and interconnecting rooms are

more reasons to opt for a hotel for some, as well as a selection of room types and added touches such as your own iPod docking station, satellite TV and wifi. Swimming pools are popular, especially if they are heated and outdoors on a sunny afternoon, and there’s something special about being able to plod down there in your fluffy white bathrobe.

And you can still enjoy cosy evenings by the fire: many hotel bars re-create that ski lodge ambience well, making you feel instantly at home.

Those looking to explore have the flexibility

to pop out to a new restaurant each evening, showing you more of the resort and letting you chose the cuisine you like.

The alpine hotels we recommend all have

great central or on-piste locations, and we will also give you restaurant recommendations and book tables and excursions for you.

The Chabichou has been run by the Rochedy family since 1963 and even though the hotel has seen many changes since then the family’s high standards and friendly welcome has remained constant. Situated on the green run down to the Plantrey chair and only steps away from 1850’s village centre it couldn’t be more convenient. In the summer of 2011 the Chabichou installed an excellent new SPA for guests to enjoy.

The Hotel offers you 42 rooms, and suites and finished to the high standards. Each room is equipped with direct telephone line, wireless broadband, satellite colour television, individual safes, and as all the rooms are individually furnished the Rochedy family style really comes across.

The excellent new spa area - Spa Cha'Banya was built in 2011 and boasts a full 1100m2 of sensory space, entirely dedicated to well-being and relaxation for its guests. The Spa boasts a swimming pool, Turkish bath, polar bath, ice fountain, scrubs and massages, affusion shower, banya, fitness, a cobra waterfall, geyser and massage points, underwater massages and a salt grotto for guests to enjoy! The hotel has its own ski shop and will fit your skis and boots in the comfort of the hotel.

How many ski hotels can claim 2 Michelin stars for their restaurant? Michel Rochedy has been amazing his guests and critics for 40 years now and dining here really is an experience. The food here is truly memorable and with the quality of the fare on offer every night this represents great value for money.
