Tucked away just northwest of the Continental Divide lies Winter Park - Colorado's Favourite Ski Resort. It is now an international resort in its own right and a pedestrian village at the base of the ski area adds to the more traditional facilities of the old town.
Winter Park has five distinct mountains, Winter Park, Mary Jane, Parsenn Bowl, Vasquez Cirque and Vasquez Ridge.
Winter Park Mountain, the heart and soul
of the resort, is a haven for family skiing with its beautifully groomed cruiser runs, terrain parks and half pipe.
Vasquez Cirque is regarded by many as the
most extreme terrain in Colorado and features a daunting mix of cornices, rock outcrops, steeps and glades.
Boasting an average annual snowfall of 910cm, Winter Park has the most consistent snow, season after season.
The resort was ranked #1 for bumps three years
in a row by Skiing Magazine, and has a loyalist following unlike any other mountain.
Winter Park is only 67 miles from Denver
which gives you more time to enjoy the mountain.
2,762 total skiable acres (1,119 hectares)
includes 134 designated trails and 1,467 acres (594 hectares) of off-piste terrain, including Vasquez Cirque and glade skiing.
