In the vast arid space of Northern Namibia lies one of Southern Africa’s best loved wildlife sanctuaries . . . and on this fantastic four day tour you will see the best of it. Etosha National Park offers excellent game viewing in one of Africa’s most accessible venues. Zebra and springbok are scattered across the endless horizon, while the many waterholes attract endangered black rhinoceros, lion, elephant and large numbers of antelope. Etosha, meaning 'place of dry water’, encloses a huge flat depression, or pan, which provides a great, parched, silver-white backdrop of shimmering mirages to an area of semi-arid savannah grassland and thorn scrub. The pan itself contains water only after very good rains and sometimes for only a few days, but is enough to stimulate the growth of a blue-green algae which lures thousands of flamingos.

Full Tour Itinerary

Day 1: Windhoek to Etosha

Your safari holiday begins in Windhoek where you meet your tour guide and travel north to Namibia's prime wildlife sanctuary, the Etosha National Park. On arrival you check in to your safari camp accommodation or safari lodge and spend the rest of the day at leisure. Time to take in the savannah environment, relax on the private veranda of your chalet or take a cool refreshing dip in the sparkling pool. A first of several memorable dinners tonight under the stars.

Accommodation: Classic Etosha Safari Camp

Day 2: Etosha

Enjoy an early morning game drive in open vehicles to explore this awesome wildlife park. This unique, huge area consists of wide-open plains and dense bush savannah that surround a parched salt desert known as the Etosha Pan, which in turn is surrounded by a number of waterholes that ensure the survival of 114 different game, as well as 340 different bird species. Spend the hot part of the day relaxing back at the lodge before going on an evening game drive returning as the sun sets.

Accommodation: Classic Etosha Safari Camp

Day 3: Etosha

Today you will again be taken on morning and afternoon game drives into the park for yet more unforgettable wildlife experiences. Wait in anticipation at a selection of waterholes that support a rich diversity of mammals and birds. Some of these include rare and endangered species such as black-faced Impala, Roan, Black Rhino as well as the Elusive Eland, the largest antelope on earth. Dinner back at the lodge discussing what you have seen and done with fellow guests.

Accommodation: Classic Etosha Safari Camp

Day 4: Etosha to Windhoek

After breakfast today you have time to explore the area around the lodge or just relax around the pool. After lunch you will be picked up and driven back to Windhoek where your tour comes to an end. You will be dropped off at your hotel or taken to the airport to catch an onward flight or begin your journey home. This short safari makes a great addition to any holiday in South Africa
