Full Tour Itinerary

Day 1: Pretoria

The train leaves Pretoria's Capital Park Station travelling towards Centurion. Enjoy lunch as you cross the Highveld heading towards Ladysmith. Watch the South African landscape slip by from the comfort of your luxurious suite or the Observation car. Dinner is served later in the dining car.

Day 2: Ladysmith

After breakfast the train arrives at Elandslaagte. Go for an early game drive in the Nambiti Private Game Reserve with a chance to see the Big Five - lion, leopard, rhino, elephant and buffalo. Travel on to Ladysmith where you have a choice of excursions. Either go on another safari in the Spionkop Game Reserve or visit the Spionkop battlefields for an escorted tour. Dinner is served later in the dining car.

Day 3: Durban

Today you leave Ladysmith and travel down the escarpment stopping at Lions River to see the famous Ardmore Ceramics gallery and a dressage display. Then continue a steady descent through the Valley of 1,000 hills and the scenic landscape through Pietermaritzburg arriving at Durban where the memorable journey ends. Here you can continue your South African adventure or prepare for the journey home.
