This exciting cruise on Royal Caribbean's luxurious liner Ovation of the Seas begins in one of the world's top travel destinations, Hong Kong, and ends in another, Singapore. You stop along the way at Sanya in China and three ports in Vietnam - Hue, from where you can visit Danang, the beach resort of Nha Trang and the colourful city of Saigon. There are also two full days at sea on the cruise when you can relax and take advantage of all the state of the art on board facilities and entertainments.

Full Tour Itinerary

Day 1: Hong Kong

You will be blown away by the exhilaration of Hong Kong and its fascinating mix of East and West. Shop for silk, jade, souvenirs, fashions and high end goods in the markets and malls or take the funicular to the Peak for some spectacular views. Ride the historic Star Ferry from Hong Kong Island to Kowloon or experience a thrilling cable car ride to the impressive Big Buddha and the tranquil Po Lin Monastery on Lantau Island before the Ovation of the Seas sets sail.

Day 2: Sanya, China

At the southernmost tip of Hainan Province, and with a tropical monsoon climate, Sanya has some of the best white sand beaches and clear blue waters in China. Visit Monkey Island to see a nature reserve for macaques or discover the fabulous Nanshan Temple, home of the 108 metre high statue of Guanyin, the Buddhist goddess of infinite compassion. Don’t miss the temple’s delicious vegetarian food, which is renowned. As with all ports of call, lots of tours which can be booked on board.

Day 3: Hue/Danang, Vietnam

Today you can hang out at beautiful China Beach, where American soldiers used to go for rest and recreation during the Vietnam War. Discover the delicious street food in downtown Da Nang or the wonders of Hue, which is situated on the Perfume River and was the former seat of the Nguyen Dynasty. Its 19th century Citadel protected the Imperial City, with its opulent palaces and shrines, including the Forbidden Purple City, once the home of emperors.

Day 4: At Sea

The first of your full days at sea and a good time to get to know this modern cruise ship and all that she has to offer. You can sit back, kick off your shoes and put your feet up during 'at sea' days, where you can chill in the bar, lounge by the pool or enjoy a relaxing beauty treatment in the spa. For simple pleasures, why not try a game of table tennis, or if you’re feeling energetic, now’s the chance to explore all the amazing activities from spectacular West-End-style entertainment to adrenalin-charged sports.

Day 5: Nha Trang, Vietnam

Snorkelling is supreme in this stunning Vietnamese seaside resort, which is famed for its long crescent bay dotted with tropical islands, turquoise seas and a backdrop of beautiful peaks. Tour the seafront promenade, explore the sculpture parks and scenic gardens, or try a revitalising spa treatment. Nha Trang’s delicious seafood is world renowned and if you’re feeling adventurous, its swallow’s nest soup is considered the best in the country.

Day 6: Ho Chi Minh (Saigon)

Ho Chi Minh City, or Saigon as it is still most often called, is one of the highlights of the cruise and after arriving this morning you have two days to take a whole range of tours or go ashore and explore on your own. See the mix of French colonial, Asian and modern architecture and visit the History Museum to see 2,000 years of Vietnamese history. You can also sample the tantalising food stalls of Ben Thanh Market and tour the incense-filled Jade Emperor Pagoda, dedicated to a Taoist god.

Day 7: Ho Chi Minh (Saigon)

Another day to explore the former capital of South Vietnam. Take a trip along Dong Koi Street, visit the War Remnants Museum and see the former royal palace and the famous post office. Today may also be a good time to take a trip out to experience the Cu Chi Tunnels, where Viet Cong guerilla fighters lived during the Vietnam War and launched so many attacks on the Americans. Back in the city, for impressive views, visit the 68-storey Bitexco Financial Tower.

Day 8: At Sea

The last of your full days at sea today so make the most of it as you leave Vietnam and head for Singapore. The Ovation of the Seas boasts so much smart technology, with robot bartenders and a capsule that transports you 300 feet above the ship, among the spectacular innovations. With skydiving, delectable dining at a choice of top notch restaurants and a vast entertainments complex, you really are living the dream on this cruise.

Day 9: Singapore

Today you can taste Singapore’s mouth-watering cuisine, influenced by the flavours of Malaysia, China and India. Visit the stunning Botanic Gardens and National Orchid Garden or the exotic Jurong Bird Park to see colourful toucans, pelicans, eagles and parrots. Take a ferry to the islands for unspoilt beaches or enjoy south-east Asian art at the National Gallery. And a temple in Singapore’s Chinatown is said to house one of the Buddha's teeth.

Day 10: End of cruise

Today you fabulous cruise from Hong Kong to Singapore comes to an end. Before leaving the Ovation of the Seas say farewell to new found friends then possibly stay of for a few days in this exotic location seeing more of the sights and soaking up the sun before heading to the airport to catch an onward flight or begin your journey back home.
