Full Tour Itinerary

Day 1: Perth to Cervantes

Begin by picking up your hire car at the airport or a city depot and head out of Perth on the Brand Highway. Just before the town of Badgingarra, take the coast road to Cervantes, which is a cray fishing centre, and appeals to anglers because of the wide range of fish caught from the shore. The town’s beaches are ideal for swimming, boating and windsurfing. Nambung National; Park surrounds the town, and its major draw, the Pinnacles, are 20 miles to the south. Here thousands of limestone pillars dot the barren landscape. There is a one way loop track through the area with places to park so you can explore on foot.

Accommodation: Standard Cervantes Pinnacles motel

Day 2: Cervantes to Geraldton

Return to the Brand Highway and travel north via Badgingarra, Eneabba and Dongara to reach Geraldton. Badgingarra National Park is home to an abundance of wildflowers and the park trail begins and finishes west of the highway near the Badgingarra Roadhouse. The walk takes 90 minutes and you’ll see emus and kangaroos on the trail. Geraldton's boundary of safe beaches, its year long surf scene, the scenic attractions and rich historic features, give it a magnetic appeal to those who want a carefree holiday. It is known as Sun City, because it boasts of an average of eight hours sunshine a day, all year round.

Accommodation: Standard Comfort Inn Geraldton

Day 3: Geraldton to Monkey Mia

Leave Geraldton today on the North West Coastal Highway, passing through the towns of Northampton and Binnu. Leave the highway at the Overlander Roadhouse, and travel to the coast, through the town of Denham to Monkey Mia. This area attracts more attention than most out-of-the-way tourist resorts. The isolated beach on Shark Bay has created international interest because of its dolphin population. The dolphins have been visiting the beach since the 1960’s. Shark Bay, which surrounds the peninsula, is a World Heritage area, acclaimed for its dugong population. Overnight Monkey Mia Dolphin Resort.

Accommodation: Standard Monkey Mia Dolphin Resort

Day 4: Monkey Mia

A full day at leisure to explore the wonders of Monkey Mia. The resort is the only place to meet the area's famous dolphins and from your beachfront accommodation in the heart of Shark Bay World Heritage Area, you can enjoy all that this luxurious resort has to offer. A range of facilities includes swimming pool, artesian spring hot tub, bar and restaurant. Monkey Mia is a recognised natural beauty, World Heritage Landmark and the only place in Australia where dolphins visit daily and you can interact with them for free. With clear blue skies and sunshine 320 days of the year, Monkey Mia is the ideal untouched Mediterranean-style holiday zone of the Southern Hemisphere.

Accommodation: Standard Monkey Mia Dolphin Resort

Day 5: Monkey Mia - Geraldton

More time today to lap up the luxury at Monkey Mia Resort and see more of the dolphins before leaving and beginning the drive back south via Denham along the North West Coastal Highway and through Northampton to your hotel at Geraldton. Points of interest here include the Wishing Well Lookout, the Geraldton Museum and the Point Moore Lighthouse, all of which are worth a visit.

Day 6: Geraldton to Perth

Leave Geraldton this morning and begin the drive back to Perth along the Brand Highway, again passing the towns of Dongara and Eneabba.
