The perfect introduction to this endlessly fascinating country, this tour takes you to India's three most beautiful and enthralling cities, where you'll explore stunning palaces and places of worship, browse the bustling bazaars, and travel by rickshaw and even by elephant. You'll visit Ranthambore National Park to see wild tigers in their natural habitat, and visit a whole range of iconic and memorable sites, including, of course, the Taj Mahal.

Full Tour Itinerary

Day 1: Delhi

Your trip begins as you're met on arrival at the airport and transferred to your hotel, where you'll have the rest of the day at leisure to relax.


Day 2: Delhi

There's a real feast for your senses today, as you spend a full day touring both Old and New Delhi. You'll visit Jama Masjid, India's largest mosque, enjoy a rickshaw ride in vibrant Chandni Chowk, one of Old Delhi's busiest markets, and drive past Red Fort, President House and India Gate. You'll also visit Raj Ghat, the memorial to Mahatma Gandhi, and Humayun's Tomb, as well as the Qutub Minar, the tallest brick minaret in the world.


Day 3: Jaipur

This morning you'll make the five-hour drive to Jaipur, where you'll have time to relax at the hotel before an evening at leisure to explore the city's colourful bazaars.


Day 4: Jaipur

Today you'll enjoy a full-day tour of Jaipur. You'll have the chance to visit the Amber Fort in style, by riding up to it on an elephant! Afterwards, you'll visit the beautiful Hawa Mahal, also known as the "Palace of the Winds", and the stunning City Palace. Later, you'll visit the Jantar Mantar Observatory, a UNESCO World Heritage Site which is home to the world's largest sundial, as well as a fascinating collection of astronomical instruments, and the Albert Hall Museum.


Day 5: Ranthambore

After breakfast this morning you'll make the four-hour journey to Ranthambore where, after checking in to your hotel, you'll have a chance to relax for the rest of the day.


Day 6: Ranthambore

Today you have the chance to get up close to some spectacular wildlife, with both morning and evening Jeep safaris in Ranthambore National Park, famous for its tiger population.


Day 7: Agra

This morning you'll drive to Agra, stopping en route at the exquisite city complex of Fatehpur Sikri, built in the 16th century by the Emperor Akbar and home to dozens of ornate palaces, mosques and tombs.


Day 8: Agra to Delhi

This morning you'll enjoy a half-day tour of Agra, taking in the Red Fort and, of course, the unforgettable Taj Mahal. Afterwards you'll travel back to Delhi, where you'll check into your hotel and spend your final evening at leisure.


Day 9: Depart Delhi

Your journey comes to an end today as you transfer to the airport for your onward journey.
