Full Tour Itinerary

Day 1: San Cristobal

Your cruise begins as you board Silver Galapagos and meet your Expedition Team. After some time to settle in, this afternoon you'll circumnavigate the huge Kicker Rock, home to frigatebirds, swallow-tailed gulls and Nazca boobies, before hopefully witnessing a spectacular Galápagos sunset.

Day 2: Bartolome and Playa Espumilla, Santiago

Today your first stop is Bartolomé Island, home to the awe-inspiring obelisk known as Pinnacle Rock. It's the perfect opportunity for some snorkelling, or a beach stroll to spot Galápagos penguins. Later, weather permitting, it's on to Espumilla Beach, on Santiago Island, where you'll walk among the largest palo santo trees in the Galápagos, home to several species of Darwin's finches. If the weather conditions at Espumilla are unfavourable, you'll instead visit Buccaneer's Cove, once a safe harbour where pirates repaired their ships, but now the venue for a wide range of water activities, including snorkelling, kayaking and Zodiac tours to view the rich underwater wildlife and striking red cliffs.

Day 3: Punta Vicente Roca, Isabela, and Punta Espinoza, F

Today's highlights include a visit to Isabela, the largest island in the Galápagos, famed for its five shield volcanoes. Here you'll head to Punta Vicente Roca, an ideal snorkelling spot, set at the base of Ecuador Volcano, with stunning views of the caldera. Here you'll board a Zodiac to look for flightless cormorants and Galápagos penguins. Later you'll head to Punta Espinoza, on Fernandina Island, to see the huge colony of marine iguanas sunning themselves on the black lava shore. Here you can also expect to see sea lions, colourful sally lightfoot crabs and the rare flightless cormorant.

Day 4: Caleta Tagus and Bahia Elizabeth

Today's first stop is at Tagus Cove on Isabela Island, where you'll hike through the palo santo trees to Darwin Lake, looking out for yellow warblers and Galápagos mockingbirds along the way. You could also enjoy some snorkelling or kayaking. Next it's on to Bahía Elizabeth, a tranquil mangrove lagoon where you'll take a Zodiac trip to spot sea turtles, pelicans, herons, sea lions and penguins.

Day 5: Post Office Bay and Punta Cormorant or Champion, F

Today's destination is Floreana, home to the "post office" barrel into which mariners would drop letters to home, hoping that other sailors would deliver them. This is a wonderful spot for snorkelling, before you head off to visit the island's sealion colony, while looking out eagle rays, marine turtles, brown pelicans and cattle egrets. At Punta Cormorant you'll walk across the olive-green sand to Flour Beach, a nesting site for green sea turtles.

Day 6: Cerro Dragon and Las Bachas, Santa Cruz

Today you'll pay a visit to Cerro Dragón, to see the land iguanas that thrive here thanks to the conservation efforts of the Charles Darwin Foundation and the Galapagos National Park. In the afternoon, you'll head to the northern shore of Santa Cruz, to swim on the beaches and look for white-cheeked pintails, flamingos and sea turtles.

Day 7: Los Gemelos, Puerto Ayora and the Fausto Llerena B

Today's first stop is Los Gemelos, two pit craters amid a spectacular forest of tall scalesia trees that look like giant daisies. This afternoon, you'll continue to the Fausto Llerena Breeding Center, where you'll be able to get up close to both the domed tortoise and the saddleback tortoise after which the islands were named.

Day 8: Baltra

You'll disembark Silver Galapagos after breakfast this morning for your return flight from Baltra Airport.
