Sanctuary Chief's Camp can be found on the north-western tip of Chief's Island, in the Moremi Game Reserve. This is a seasonal delta area, with the floodwaters entering the area in June or July, and lasting four to five months. It is an area known for excellent game viewing, and this elegant tented camp has been so skilfully integrated into the landscape that guests can often view game without even leaving camp.

Guests at Sanctuary Chief's Camp are accommodated in 10 large luxury bush pavilions, each of which has a thatched roof, en-suite facilities (complete with indoor and outdoor shower), private dining area, a tranquil outside seating area and a plunge pool – all perfect for absorbing the surrounding plains and majestic African skies. Rooms also have four-poster beds with generous mosquito nets, plus air conditioning, ceiling fan and mini bar. The Geoffrey Kent Suite sleeps up to 6 and offers utmost privacy and superlative comfort. This fabulous suite includes your own vehicle and dedicated guide, as well as a personal chef, waiter and a housekeeper.

The area around Sanctuary Chief's Camp is explored on extensive game drives in the early morning and late afternoon. Game viewing is diverse, with the chance of seeing the Big Five as well as an abundance of plains game. In high season, with the increased water levels, there are also mokoro (dug-outs) excursions, and the camp itself has a split-level viewing deck with swimming pool, where spa treatments are offered and an impressive gym.

The dining area at Sanctuary Chief's Camp is set in the main lodge and has great views of the surrounding landscape. Guests can dine in true al fresco African style, kept warm by a camp fire, enjoying a candlelit gourmet dinner complemented by a selection of fine vintage wines. The boma is the perfect setting for after-dinner drinks by the campfire.
